Metal Cloak Home
Location: Fendalton | Christchurch
A metal clad ‘cloak’ form wraps over cedar and stone elements, to create a small family home in suburban Christchurch. With the main bedroom alongside the living spaces, the ground floor can function as a small home with additional bedrooms located on the first floor.
With cedar running through the entry, it guides one through to the stone fireplace form and the living space beyond. A small courtyard opening up off the kitchen, to enjoy a morning coffee, whilst the living space overlooks the western edge of the site.
